WHAT IS MAGIC SALT?
Magic Salt is a patented liquid treated salt deicer available in granular form.

WHAT IS MAGIC-0 LIQUID?
Magic Minus Zero is a highly effective liquid deicer. Magic-0 is a proprietary formula of magnesium chloride combined with an agricultural by-product of the distilling process (i.e. grain and/or sugar based) and is protected under U.S. patent # 4,676,918. The liquid treatment is a strong deicer used for pretreatment of parking lots and sidewalks prior to a storm event.

HOW IS SALT TREATED?
Magic-0 liquid is mixed into a salt pile at the rate of 6-8 gallons per ton of dry salt using a loader.

HOW IS MAGIC SALT AVAILABLE?
The solid granules are available in bulk for contractors (10 or 25 ton loads), in pallets of 50 or 25 lbs bags. Magic –0 is pretreating roadways prior to a storm event, and for dust control.

HOW IS IT STORED?
Magic Salt needs to be stored in dry bags, salt bins or tarped. Magic-0 needs to be stored in food grade plastic drums and totes.

IS IT SAFE?
One of the safest products in the market, Magic Deicers are less corrosive than distilled water! It is environmentally friendly, safer for pets & children than other deicers, safe on concrete and green concrete, landscaping and hardscaping. It is water soluble, so it is easy to clean.

IS IT EXPENSIVE?
No, in fact, you will save money by using Magic Salt! It is more effective at lower quantities. It will save you money on time, labor, and equipment, while it reduces downtime, increases productivity, prohibits rust and decreases the slip and fall liability.

PREVENTS ICE FORMATION TO -35°F:
Untreated rock salt is effective only to +18°F. Magic Salt is effect to -35°F. This is a net gain of 53° in working temperature.

LOW CORROSION VALUE:
Unlike plain rock salt or calcium chloride, independent tests show Magic Salt neutralizes the corrosive nature of rock salt. It will reduce damage to steel doors, thresholds, equipment, carpets, flooring or concrete. In fact, it prevents rust!

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY:
Liquid Magic-0 is completely biodegradable. Magic Salt releases far less chlorides into the environment than either plain rock salt or calcium chloride. Magic is safe around vegetation, people and equipment.

ECONOMICALLY SUPERIOR:
Because it works faster and lasts longer, less Magic Salt is required to displace an equal amount of ice or snow than with any other ice-melters….at any price. Because of its residual effect, snow and ice will not bond to the pavement. Black ice is virtually eliminated.

PREVENTS SNOW AND ICE FROM PACKING ONTO SURFACES:
Pretreated surfaces will remain snow and ice free post event until washed away.

PET FRIENDLY:
Organically based Magic Salt is less corrosive/irritating than traditional deicers. It safe for pets and their sensitive paws and skin.
